Billing Options
Once you take delivery of your new SiteOrganic Website, your hosting account is considered to be active. This means that your Website is being stored on our servers, and we are reserving resources on our network for your use. All active hosting accounts are billed a monthly fee for service (refer to our plans page for more details on pricing).
Payment methods we accept
We require clients to keep a credit card on file for your monthly fees. We accept all major credit cards: American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Your card will be charged automatically on the 15th of every month. At or about the time you take delivery on your Website, we'll send you an Automatic Billing Authorization form, which you can return to us with your payment information and signature. The date of your first billing will be shown on the form.
What if I don't have a credit card?
When organizations do not have a credit card available, there are a few options:
- Use a Visa/MasterCard-logo-bearing debit card that is tied to your checking account. This option allows you to keep to a no-debt philosophy, and get the additional benefit of fraud protection as if it were a credit card transaction.
- Use a personal credit card, and then have your organization reimburse you each month. Frequent flier miles, anyone?
- Pre-pay your hosting on an annual basis and save money. The cheapest option for the long run! If you must pay by check, then we can invoice you for 12-month periods. You would pay for 12 months of hosting in advance. As an extra benefit to you, we will give you a 13th month free if you exercise this pre-pay option. If you decide to cancel your service within the 12-month period, then we will refund you any unearned portion of your payment.
Can we receive an invoice each month?
We are not able to send invoices to clients for regular monthly fees. (Invoices are always sent for design and development projects, domain setups, and other incidentals.) At any time, you may write to us at billing@siteorganic.com to request a statement of your account, which we can manually prepare and Email to you.
Why don't you accept check payments for monthly fees?
Due to extremely high rates of non-payment from clients in the past, we have discontinued check payment as an option for monthly fees.
Our Website isn't live to the public yet. Why do we have to pay monthly fees?
Whether or not your Website is publicly available, your account is still active on our servers as long as you have access to view, test, and edit your site. If you plan an extended period of time before you want to go live, and you don't need to edit your site during that time, then contact our support team to request that your account be temporarily de-activated. Then, you won't be liable for monthly fees until you wish to resume service.
Please note that only active clients are eligible to receive technical support.
